Turkey is a country at the crossroads of Europe and Asia and enjoys a rich history. It is no surprise that over 10% of all international students (no. 170,000) are on some form of scholarship. The Turkish government website allows students to apply directly for scholarships through a relatively straightforward program.

You can expect to have to provide proof of English and/or Turkish language proficiency (Turkish courses are mandatory in some programs). The window for applications is between January and February, so make sure to stay vigilant to ensure timely application.
