TURKEY
Turkey is a country at the crossroads of Europe and Asia and enjoys a rich history. It is no surprise that over 10% of all international students (no. 170,000) are on some form of scholarship. The Turkish government website allows students to apply directly for scholarships through a relatively straightforward program.
You can expect to have to provide proof of English and/or Turkish language proficiency (Turkish courses are mandatory in some programs). The window for applications is between January and February, so make sure to stay vigilant to ensure timely application. SAUDI ARABIA
Saudi Arabia is the largest country in the Arabian Peninsula and is one of the largest economies in the world. Saudi is also home to a young population with a growing workforce that must accommodate a diversifying economy. As such there is growing investment in education which has brought about greater collaboration with global institutions. Today many Saudi Universities provide some form of scholarship or financial aid to applicants from abroad.
The Islamic Development Bank provides scholarships for undergraduate, masters, doctorate, and vocational levels. Applicants should be from member countries listed on their site. UNITED ARAB EMIRATES
Khalifa University provides several opportunities for Master and Doctoral studies, especially in the fields of engineering, computers, geoscience, robotics, and medicine. They also provide a 4 year MD program for those coming from STEM backgrounds that is completely supported for internationals students. United Arab Emirates University provides full scholarship for undergraduate studies.
American University of Sharjah offers financial assistance for undergraduate students and other forms of assistance for its graduate students including work study programs.
Abu Dhabi University provides a full scholarship to the top highschool graduates of the UAE’s public highschool system.
University of Sharjah provides needs based assistance and tuition discounts for eligible students.
Mohammed Bin Zayed University offers postgraduate studies in artificial intelligence and requires a background in STEM. It provides full scholarship for accepted applicants but requires a review of nationalities that may be accepted. Check their website or contact them for more information.

Ajman University has several medical and health programs in addition to other STEM based studies. Their financial aid ranges from full tuition discount to partial discounts.

QATAR
Qatar is a country that sits in the eastern aspect of the Arabian Peninsula and has one of the highest standards of living in the world. Several scholarships are on offer at their public universities. Most of these scholarships are competitive and retaining the scholarship requires maintaining a high GPA. In addition, it is important to note that graduate students on scholarship are required to work a set number of hours in the faculty, much similar to a studentship at a US university. You may also want to check the local embassy for more information regarding your specific scholarships in your current location.

The American University of Bahrain provides a competitive merit scholarship for applicants and students.

Royal University for Women provides partial scholarships in the form of reduced tuition to qualifying candidates with at least a 3.3 CGPA on their highschool diploma. The university provides education in art and design, business and finance, law, information technology and engineering.
British University of Bahrain offers its applicants reduced tuition fees based on their highschool marks, transfer students, merit, and government scholarship program. The university has a college of engineering and technology, arts and social sciences as well as a faculty of business and law. There are a few post graduate programs also.
Royal College of Surgeons Ireland in Bahrain is offering scholarships for medical/health studies for students with an outstanding highschool background. JORDAN
University of Jordan is situated in Amman and offers a wide variety of programs ranging from technology to engineering and medical and health. You can visit their website for a full listing. It is important to determine the application period, and feel free to reach out to their registrar or admissions office for more information.

Lutfia Rabbani Scholarshipis open to nationals of member countries of the Arab League as well as Dutch nationals. It provides support for Arab nationals who have been accepted into a graduate program at a Dutch institution and also for Dutch students who have been accepted into graduate studies (MSc & Ph.D.) at an Arab university.
Arab Student Aid International is a non-profit Educational Public Charity Foundation registered in Ohio, USA. It provides support for Arab students who are seeking a BA, MA, or Ph.D. in a field that is not readily available in their home countries.
